Lucky Air, an airline based in southwestern China's Yunnan province, has dressed its flight attendants in Brazil national team shirts for duration of the World Cup, a move which has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from internet users and also been picked up by international media outlets.

The airline has also been mocked in Japan, however, in a report which dereided China for failing to reach the finals, reports our Chinese language sister paper China Times. The Japanese magazine RocketNews24 said Japan long ago proved to the world that Japanese girls in the blue of the national team supporting their country at the World Cup are the most attractive women in the world, while the Chinese flight attendants are nothing more than "replicas."

The report also said that since China failed to qualify for the tournament in Brazil, the flight attendants have no national kit of their own to wear and have to co-opt the strip of the host country.

The dismissive tone of the report predictably riled a proportion of China's notoriously irascible netizens, though others shrugged off the remarks.
